Hands down the very best Manapua in Utah (yes, I capitalize MANAPUA out of respect!) This place beats the competition soundly. We loved this place! The laulau is amazing!

Service was great, lady at the counter seemed to truly care if we were enjoying ourselves and the food was to our liking. Portions were great, other than the BBQ mix that had about 1/4 bones. Wasn't terrible but to make it a perfect serving a little more meat, one more scoop would have been perfect. The chicken Katsu also needed about 2-4 more pieces to be perfect. The pork was tasty and a great portion. Tables and dining area were a little dirty, nothing terrible but could have been wiped down better. The food was great, poly plates just how I always remember them. Good price as well, go here over one of those fake poly food chain restaurants. 4.3/5 for portion issues and dirty eating area.

First time in, food was OK service is a bit slow, seem like the girl who was the cashier seem not wanting to be there. She was a bit busy texting not noticing I was wanting to place order. That's why I gave three stars food was not bad but rice seems a bit uncooked.

Chicken katsu, terrayaki chicken, and kahula pork were good. The chicken katsu was tender and well prepared with a great sauce and very good flavor Didn't care for the pasta salad, but I've never liked pasta salad, so it's probably my problem not not the fault of Tiki's. The restaurant does have limited seating because there are only a handful of tables and a few half booths and half tables. May be the best for a large party. Staff was friendly and the food was served up quickly. Prices were reasonable and portions were large: two large dinners and a slice of concut cake was only $18. Mahalo!

Has the best staff!! I've been in the Marines for 10 years now. Been to Japan, Hawaii and all over the U.S. This is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants I've ever been too. Not being native to Utah and the reputation Utah has about food I would give this place 6 stars if I could!!

I am giving them 3 stars for now since I only tried a few items on the menu. The Poke's sauce was the right level of spiciness although could have been less thick. The chicken katsu and kahlua pork were good. I'm going to try the loco moco and manapua next time.

I got a three item combo of kalua pork, bbq chicken, and chicken katsu. The meats were cooked well and tender. However, they were lacking in the flavor department. The Kalua pork was very bland, and the bbq chicken did not have much barbeque taste to it. It came with macaroni salad which was decent too. Portions are pretty big, prices are very reasonable for what you get. Overall, this is an A-OK place, but nothing special.

Being that there are a handful of Hawaiian options in and around Salt Lake City, there is some stiff competition. At the end of the day even though it's not my favorite island restaurant around, Tiki holds its own and has some tasty options.

Place was pretty good, they were out of the Kalua pork so we got the BBQ mix (pictured) and the chicken katsu (pictured) both were really delicious. The beef wasn't very tender and hard to chew. The chicken and the short ribs had tons of flavor and quite good as well. Their macaroni salad is like L&L BBQ and I loved it! Will come back for more. Hope they don't run out of my favorite can drink Orange & Pineapple drink from Hawaii. I love Mo'Betta steaks Hawaiian and L&L bbq I guess they are moving from downtown to West Valley. Tiki will be my 3rd best place to visit in Utah.

If for some reason you decide to make bad choices and go here, know that whatever you ask for they will not have. It's like they put the menu on the wall and then just went "fuck it we are not going to serve any of that". I have had better and more receptive service from a syphilitic, one eyed hooker. When I placed my order for salmon "we don't serve that", it's on the menu "yeah we don't serve that, you're looking at the wrong menu" I am looking at the one on the wall above the kitchen "Yeah that's the old one. The new one is this little piece of paper here". OK I'll have the Chicken Katsu "we don't have that" It's on the little menu you just pointed me to "Yeah we don't have that" OK I'll have the grilled Mahi Mahi "we don't have that, we only have fried" It says grilled Mahi Mahi right here on the little piece of paper you gave to order from "yeah we don't have that" So if you are thinking about going here might I suggest an alternative, I would suggest you go to the nearest baseball stadium and and run your tongue along the bathroom floor, you will be more satisfied and feel less dirty than dealing with this eatery.

This place is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants I've ever been to! The Chicken Katsu, BBQ Hawaiian Chicken and the Kalua Pork are my favorite items, they're very very good!! The seasoning on the pork is perfect and the Chicken Katsu isn't tough like others I've had. The sauce they serve their food with is terrific, very tasty! One of the best things about their food is even if you put it in the fridge for a day or two and warm it back up, it tastes just as good, even the rice!! I just wish they had more locations around Utah Valley! Every time I've gone in they always have whatever I order so don't believe the one negative review about their menu. I'm hooked on this place!!

The food and service were great. I had the Chicken Katsu plate which comes with a lot of rice and a macaroni salad. The place is not very close to where I live which is probably the only reason I wouldn't be a regular there. Very similar to L&L but the sides here come in larger portions.

I have boycotted L&L because of the food poisoning and the Mexican chicken they serve. I also stopped going to Mo' Bettahs because of the lousy catering service they provided me even though I spent almost $1000, the still charged me extra for sauce they usually give for free. But hubby wanted Hawaiian BBQ and this was the closest one to where we were (WJ). Great, friendly service. Nice decor, clean place. Food was delicious and served quickly. He got BBQ mix and I got the katsu. We both were very happy and will definitely be returning here often :)

This was delicious Hawaiian food. I got the pineapple teriyaki chicken to go. The chicken had good seasoning with grilled pineapple and vegetables. It was surprisingly not smothered in any sauce but it was tasty. It came wit a scoop of rice and macaroni salad. My wife got the chicken curry she didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed mine. I would recommend the teriyaki over the curry. But I would defiantly return for the teriyaki bowl.

Been here a few of times. Every time I have ordered chicken I have found sharp pieces of bone in my meal. Do they butcher the chicken with a rubber mallet? You can see in the kitchen area when ordering and it looks dark, disorganized and dirty. On a positive note, the macaroni salad is pretty good.

So far the best place i have tried to get a taste of home. Waiting patiently for the day we actually get to try the laulau...we are always too late to get any. BBQ Chicken tastes good, Chicken Katsu is fried up very well. They even have a few flavors of Hawaiian Sun if you want.

I had a nice sample of chicken, beef, and pork for lunch today. Very tasty.

The only thing I didn't like about this place is the macaroni salad. The meat is tasty, cooked and seasoned perfectly, nice portions. I wish it was open later, I have a group of friends who go out to eat every Tuesday night, but we don't decide where we're going til like 7:30, and I believe this places closes at 8pm every day. It's a small and cute place, not busy at all the time I went (mid-day). I wish they have more variety on their menu, but for a family-owed joint it's really nice and a shame more people don't know about it.

I ordered the mini plate Hawaiian BBQ chicken. It was really good. I felt the pricing and the size was perfect. The one thing I missed out on is I didn't ask for brown rice. I am not sure if they offer it, but next time I go back I will ask for it. The chicken was very flavorful and the sauce was delicious. The rice it came with was perfect and not dry. The macaroni salad had a lot of flavor. I would go back!

I'm from Orange County, California and there are many Hawaiian style restuarants that are great. Tiki Hawaiian Kitchen is right up there with the quality of food and menu variety... Sadly, no saimen or short rib stew ... maybe for winter eh? The service is excellent and the staff is attentive... Great work guys! Keep it up.

I've been there about a dozen times. The food is always consistent and the staff embodies the spirit of Aloha! I love to see little local gems prosper.

I love this place! Everytime I come here the food is authentic and is melt in your mouth good. The restaurant is fairly quiet most days, but the ambiance over all is great. I recommend anyone who either loves island food or people who never tried to to give this restaurant a try. The chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, curry, mahi mahi, Kailua pork, and desserts are to die for!
